Tempomaton: handout excerpts

Spending 3 days with teenagers and percussionist Joël Lorcerie has been a treat. Everyone had lots of fun - and learnt a lot, too. At the end of the workshop, the participants had constructed automatons and programmed fun rhythms in the Arduino software.

The most important

I hope everybody will remember what we discovered during this exploration of science and music:

Everyone can program.
Everyone can make music.

Here are a couple of excerpts from the handout.

Day 1: rhythms with lights

Day 2: rhythms with solenoids & percussion instruments

Day 3: adding sensors
